Apr 4, 2022Â â EmpowerMe Wellness, a St. Louis-based provider of senior health services, has expanded its footprint and headcount with the acquisition of a physical therapy provider based in Florida.
âWe are excited to welcome everyone at Salus into the EmpowerMe Wellness family. Salus’ therapists and staff are known throughout the communities they serve for their commitment to helping residents live healthier, happier lives â which is a commitment EmpowerMe shares,â said Josh Stevens, founder and CEO of EmpowerMe Wellness. âOur partnership will create exciting growth opportunities for new team members while making a continued impact to improve the lives of seniors and enrich the communities they call home.â
The acquisition marks the latest growth initiative for EmpowerMe Wellness, which within the past two years has significantly expanded the number of senior living facilities using its services. It has grown from little more than 40 senior living facilities using its services in August 2020 to more than 450 today. EmpowerMe Wellness in January said it had raised more than $100 million from local investors and recently opened a new diagnostics laboratory at its headquarters at 1335 Strassner Drive in Brentwood.
EmpowerMe Wellness said Monday it has offered Salusâ 175 employees roles with the company and that co-founder’s Nick Hughes and Brad Andrews will become part of EmpowerMe Wellnessâ leadership team and co-owners of its Southeast operations.
âEmpowerMe Wellness shares Salusâ mission of improving the lives of seniors. Through our partnership, EmpowerMe will make a significant investment in our team members and enable us to offer additional services that improve outcomes for our residents,â said Hughes.
EmpowerMe Wellness has 1,100 employees nationwide.
